Sodality is an active part of Saint Joseph's and strives
to better the spiritual lives of its members and others as well. Sodalists
assemble once a month to organize ideas and plan events to accomplish
this goal.
To understand Sodality even further, we must look at the word "Sodality."
Sodality is derived from the Latin word "sodilitas" which
means "fellowship." It is also used to describe a devotional
society. And this is exactly what Sodality is.
Others may serve the Blessed Virgin Mary tolerably well, sodalists
serve Her splendidly. Through the fellowship found in working and praying
together, the Sodality offers young ladies the opportunity to grow in
virtue and perform acts of charity while enjoying each others' company.
