Lord Jesus Christ, in union with that divine intention wherewith on earth Thou didst offer to God Thy praises through Thy Most Sacred Heart, and dost now offer them in the Sacrament of the Eucharist everywhere on earth even to the end of time, I most gladly offer Thee throughout this entire day, all my thoughts and intentions, all my affections and desires, all my words and deeds, in imitation of the Immaculate Heart of the Most Blessed and ever Virgin Mary.            The Blessed Virgin Mary's Request

December 10, 1925 - Our Blessed Lady appeared to Sister Lucia in Pontevedra, Our Blessed Lady said: "Look, my daughter, at my Heart surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce me at every moment with their blasphemies and ingratitude. You at least try to console me and say that I promise to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months, shall confess, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary, and keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to me."

(Fatima in Lucia's Own Words, page 195)

             Pope Saint Pius X

On June 13, 1912, Pope St. Pius X granted new indulgences to the Faithful who performed the devotion of Reparation to Our Lady on the First Saturdays of the month. And five years later to the very day on June 13, 1917 - Our Lady showed to the three children of Fatima, Her Immaculate Heart "surrounded by thorns that seemed to pierce it" which demanded reparation.
